Fishing in the Florida Keys flats is known as one of the best fishing experiences in the world with endless miles of shallow sands and grass flats, channels, bridges, and mangroves. Species such as the permit pursue crabs, bonefish in the water as shallow as six inches; also look out for rolling tarpon, jacks, mackerel, barracuda, snapper and grouper, to name just a few!
Spectacular flats can be found on the Atlantic side of the Keys and in the renowned backcountry, an area of mangroves islands on the Gulf Side surrounded by the Florida Keys Flats.
